Dear Anash,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for the wonderful show of support for the newly opened Bais Rivkah uniform gemach (elementary through high school).
The response to our request for gently worn uniforms was heartwarming! You responded with warmth and generosity and your chessed brought happiness into the hearts of many who would until now have experienced incredible heartache when faced with the daunting task of outfitting children in new uniforms with significantly limited funds and often no funds at all.
You didn’t only donate inventory but you did so with kindness. We received uniforms that were carefully folded, neatly hung and some professionally cleaned. We even received some brand new items in packages that were purchased for the gemach while you were purchasing new items for your own children. Mothers left thier personal and confidential appointments feeling relieved and well cared for. Children were able to browse through and try on from a selection of freshly washed shirts and professionally cleaned and pleated skirts. You have all earned a share of the smiles created through the gemach.
A special note of thanks to Mr. Teich of regency cleaners and to COLlive for helping us to share the information regarding this community project. We will iyh be open for appointments through the year and are still collecting new and gently worn unifroms which can be dropped off anytime on the porch of 1287 Carroll st.
To schedule an appointment please call 718-493-1740 between 9am and 6pm. messages will be returned.
On behalf of the families it assists, we thank you for your continued support of gemach as we try to the maintain the inventory needed to continue to serve the families of our community with care throughout the year.
Wishing you a kesiva v’chasima tova,
Rochel Lustig and Chani Karp
