Family and friends from all over the world will be marking on Sunday, 3 Cheshvan – October 10, the first yahrzeit of Shula Swerdlov, a 3 year-old girl killed in a hit and run accident.
Her parents, R’ Yossi and Hindel Swerdlov of Jerusalem, are inviting the public to join them in celebrating the completion of a new Torah written in her memory.
The ceremony will take place on her yahrzeit, with the final letters written at 16 Haran St., Sharei Chesed, Jerusalem.
The procession will walk and dance with music to Beis Menachem Shul at 6 Ebn Shaprut Street for Hakafot and Dancing.
In preparation for the event, a slideshow of her short life was put together by her family.

Shula a”h was not hit by a “hit and run” driver. The bus driver simply did not see the little girl as he rollled away from the bus stop. The tragedy is great enough without unnecessarily besmirching another Yud.
