No surprise from Slime magazine. No wonder Fox News has all the ratings. Who comes up with this kind of garbage?

I've been following

!’ve been following the comments on this article on the Time website, and many many people are horrified at the blatant anti-semitism inherent, calling for their subscriptions to be canceled etc etc…
So yes, this is pretty bad, and I think Time has realized they’ve gone a bit too far with this one.

Nah

I read the article ok. The cover seems very Anti-Israel but the article itself says nothing bad about Israel. It focuses on Tel-Aviv and how people there live in the moment and don’t think about the peace process or at least they don’t let it rule their lives.

Your missing the point. Most people browsing through a newsstand just see the headlines and cover, they dont even read the actual article, they just judge from the headlines, which was very anti Israel.

ridiculous

Dave,

I usually appreciate your work, but this it ridiculous. Seems as if you were pulling hairs on this one.

The Time Magazine article was done very well. Let’s not turn it into an anti-Israel issue.

Nice article

Nice job, right on time.

by not writing this to them, is like “talking to the converted”

I read the TIME article

When I first saw the cover I was horrified. Then I read the article. I think they made that title for the shock value because the article has nothing to do with the title.

nice job

Well said Dovid!

One thing that was going throught my mind, when they said “there was no attack in 2 1/2 years” was, they make it sound like it’s an accident or that the terrorists stopped attacking. They’ll never admit that it’s because of the wall (that they’d call inhumane) and added security that has helped.

I didn’t find the article so bad. It basically says that Israelis are sick of the shenanigans of the Palestinians. If anything, the title of the article is misleading, but the article itself (except for a point here or there), isn’t disparaging at all.

I find that the writer of this OPED loses all credibility with his last paragraph. That’s just reducing yourself to tabloid-ism. Respect the opinions of your fellow journalists, Dovid. Yes, even if they are wrong.

disgusting

first give us back Gilad Shalit alive and well NOW..then we’ll start talking business….

anyone who has a time subscription

should call up and cancel and give this article as the reason they are cancelling.

Hey, let's look on the bright side
September 7, 2010 9:56 pm

The article has an upside – in helping Israel to wake up from its desperate illusion that its welfare depends on America. When Israelis acknowledge that the USA is not there for Israel- then they will find it within themselves to be the true heroes they were so long ago and defend their lives with pride regardless of the fact that the world disapproves of their right to live. The US on the whole does not care for the welfare of Israel and has lost much of its convictions and courage. This is evident in the fact that, like most… Read more »

We should be as vociferous as the anti-Semites who lobby against Israel. Over 20 years I cancelled my long-standing subscription to Time, because they said that Menachem Begin’s last name is pronounced like “Fagin” a notoriously offensive Jewish character in Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.

Don't care?

This is so ridicules, then why do they spend more than 7% of their GDP on military expenditures, and draft all their teenagers to the army for 4 years.
Well obviously after all these years of realizing that they have no partner they now are paying for it all alone, why do they have to suffer until the Palestinians decide that they are ready?

well said!
