Zaidy Gluckowsky A”H was clearly someone special, I enjoyed reading the stories. I understand that Zaidy Mishulovin A”H from Samarkand was also quite special. Any stories about him?

Rabbi Glucousky A”H was a ba’al tefilah!

Yes he was a mechanech par excellence.

Yes he was a trailblazer in U’fo’ratzta.

And yes he was a greeter to everyone.

It is all true – and there is so much more!!

But to me, he was a ba’al tefilah, who was exact with nussach. When I close my eyes i can still hear him davening at the omud. Reb Yankel, daven for us we should all have a gebentcht yor!

I miss his sweet voice!

Rabbi Glucousky A’H The Zeidie, was a pioneer before shluchim did certain peulos. He was a trail blazer!. Three examples: He started a minyon on shabbos for youth & teenagers in which we davened mila-b’mila (word by word out loud) followed by a great kiddush – and we loved it! Each shabbos the minyan was packed! In the summer he set up a “drop in center” starting with a late minyan followed by breakfast and an hour of learning. Dozens of youths would participate. He and his family would run a Russian seder (I don’t know how he did it… Read more »

I remember that whenever he would meet ANYONE, and I mean mamesh anyone, he would find a mutual connection with that person. If the person was visiting from the moon, Reb Yankel would point out that they both know someone else from that place. He would connect with any yid!!

is continuing to reap bountiful nachas from his entire family and beyond. Rabbi Gluckowsky A”H was the first person on this planet to ask me: “Reb Yid… come… we need you for a minyan…”…. For crying out loud, I didn’t even know what a minyan meant 30 yrs. ago!! and this poshute yid brought me into the fold like family. Wowie.

I don’t know any of the parties personally (albeit, I am familiar with Rabbi Markowitz of Tzemach Tzedek) and I just have to say that this wedding is the beautiful essence of not just Chabad, not just Satmar, but of klal Chassidim.

Look at the mix of people attending this wedding! Satmar, Lubavitch, secular Jews — it’s incredible! All dancing together! It’s beautiful; each person, regardless of whatever label or non-label, are truly reveling in the joy of the simcha.

Wow!
