Welcome to COLlive’s Monday Torah, a weekly riveting class by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson, one of the most sought after speakers in the Jewish world today.
It is aired each Monday evening at 8:30 PM EST on TheYeshiva.net and COLlive.com.
In this week’s class:
Who invented the “Kiruv Rechokim?”
Why did Moshe want to go into Eretz Yisroel?
What will be the greatest accomplishment of Moshiach?
Why was Heaven so infatuated with the Baal Shem Tov’s student, Reb Michel Zlotshaver?
The class will also explore 3 children who rebelled against their father: Reuven son of Jacob, Miriam daughter of Amram, and Batya daughter of Pharaoh.
This class will analyze the different natures of their ‘rebellions’ and show how the greatest accomplishments in life are sometimes much less glamorous than we would have imagined. How the signs of a truly great man are found in his sympathy and sensitivity to the outcast.
VIDEO: Begins live at 8:30 pm EST. A rerun will be available right away. Sign in to watch.
There is something called “the art of subtelty.” did you not get the insighyt from the megaleh amukos about moshe and moshiach? how moshe and moshiach’s great work consist of kiruv?
How could you give a such long talk on this subject and ignore the mentioning of Rebbe who started the kiruv in our generation and gave his life to every yid and stood up against all who were against it and was criticized by all the frume circles and now they are all doing it? Why didn’t we hear one word of what the Rebbe said about this matter? Very strange and surprising!
If the term kiruv rechikim is from the Midrash concerning Moshe Rabanu, why was the Rebbe opposed to this term. I heard once that the Rebbe did not appreciate the term “kiruv rechokim?” Please explain
i guess u joined the shiur in middle of the live broadcast
it’s now available in full
Someone asked me this question
Qhy indeed did Hashem not allow Moshe to finish the work of Kiruv and leave the remainder for Moshiach? Does the Megalah Amukos explain that?
very interesting: the term is first used about Moshe. he intitiated the process and Moshiach will complete it. very novel and unnknown. thanks.
the rebbe quotes this term – “lomar sheaf harechokim mitoras hashem veavoidoso”
when does he speak about the kiruv?
