Dana Ginsburg of Potomac, Maryland will be running in the Miami Marathon in January of 2011 as a sponsored runner of Team Lifeline, benefitting children suffering from life-threatening illness.
Ginsburg is dedicating her run to the memory of her friend Mrs. Zlata Geisinksky obm, Shlucha of Chabad of Bethesda-Chevy Chase who recently passed away at the young age of 49 on Rosh Chodesh Tammuz 5770.
“Zlata was a tremendous source of inspiration to me,” Ginsburg writes on her blog. “It is my sincere hope that Zlata will be smiling down upon me in Miami while I am running in her merit in a skirt, long sleeves, and a hat – becoming the Jewish woman Zlata always knew I could be.”
