The Friendship Circle of Brooklyn held the first of this summer’s “Package Parties,” a social event to benefit the organization that assists children with special needs and their families.
Each participant at the package party brings along a wrapped gift valued at $20.00, and bids are then placed on each “package,” which are sold to the highest bidder.
Arranged by Tzirl Goldman, founder of the Brooklyn branch of the Friendship Circle, the first Package Party took place at the Evergreen Estates Colony, and was hosted by Miri Farro, who prepared a delicious array of cakes and salads. Chaired by Aliza Scheinfeld, the program was a tremendous success.
“We are so grateful for the support the Friendship Circle received,” said Chaya Eckhaus, director of the Friendship Circle. “The three weeks is a time to increase in Ahavas Yisroel, and this beautiful event epitomized that. The funds raised will enable us to increase programming for both our children and volunteers.”
Package Parties will be hosted in many different locations throughout the summer. Find the one nearest you, and take the opportunity to enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment while supporting an extremely worthy cause.
